YORKSHIRE CEREMONIES
Wedding testimonials
Nothing says more than the words of couples themselves, and so here are a few more photographs along with the testimonials they gave afterwards.

Michelle and Adam said 'I do' and they lit a memory candle at the beginning of their ceremony to honour and remember those they had loved and lost. Many couples do this and it's a very poignant and special moment in the ceremony without in any way making it sombre.
Because many of Michelle's family are from South Africa, I was able to incorporate a South African blessing into their ceremony and afterwards, the couple left me separate testimonials:
You've been a guiding light and made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. It's been a true pleasure (Michellle)
The ceremony wsa absolutely incredible. (Adam)
Couples often travel from quite far afield to get married and even though I can’t always meet them in person beforehand, we still have video and telephone calls to get to know each other. Beth and Sam came over from Ireland and the first chance we had to meet in person was the evening before their ceremony. This is what they had to say:
We had a wonderful day and loved every second of how personal and engaging the ceremony was, as did all our guests. We had so many guests remark on what a wonderful ceremony it was and how you managed to get across the essence of us as a couple so well! They couldn’t believe you hadn’t met us in person until the day before!! You made our day unforgettable, and we can’t thank you enough.

After a special introduction which I was able to make in Maori to Eilidh and Rhys's wedding, Eilidh wrote this:
Glynis conducted our wedding and was absolutely fabulous. She spent time getting to know my husband and I and created a lovely ceremony that really reflected who we are as a couple, incorporating my husband’s New Zealand roots, our personalities and the story of our lives together. We had lots of people comment at the wedding (and those who watched on livestream) that it was a beautiful ceremony. I couldn’t recommend Glynis highly enough, she really made it a special and memorable day. Thank you so much for the lovely service you put together for Rhys and I, lots of the guests commented on how lovely it was and a lot of people who watched online said it was very emotional. So thank you for your hard work and for making it so personal to us.

Zoe and Paul had their wedding with only 17 guests present and, including, of course, their gorgeous rescue dog who had slept patiently elsewhere during the ceremony before making her modelling debut with mum and dad!
We chose Glynis for our wedding day as she was recommended by a friend for a relaxed, intimate lockdown wedding. From the very first phone call we we were put at ease and had all of our questions answered. Our ceremony was so perfectly suited to us, and we've had nothing but compliments on the style of our wedding and our ceremony, with huge credit to Glynis. Glynis has a comforting and calming nature which was extremely appreciated over our six week planning period! Planning in such a short time might seem like a stress without giving full attention to every individual detail, but choosing to have Glynis officiate our day was one of the easiest decisions to make, and we are so grateful to have had her there.
Another couple who came a huge distance to have a handfasting and blassing, were Ellen and Blair from Australia, and they had a sunset ceremony on the banks of Loch Ness. It was a very unusual situation as I received a phone call from Ellen just as I was leaving home to travel 90 miles to conduct another wedding.
I can’t thank Glynis enough for all the wonderful hard work she put into creating such a magical ceremony for us. Our original ceremony was cancelled on the day, I found Glynis online at 9am and she couldn’t have been kinder. In the few hours we hand to pull everything together, Glynis tailored a really personal ceremony for us, including creating a keepsake booklet of the ceremony that we will treasure forever. All our party agreed that the day worked out perfectly and we couldn’t be happier.

What a joy in the midst of all the Covid crisis (remember that?) to conduct a very special double wedding! Brother and sister Adina and Oz wed their respective partners, Bob and Meg, tied the knot in an enchanted forest setting two days before Christmas. Acting as each other's witnesses, no-one else was able to attend, although it was live-streamed to their friends and family. Intimate and joyful, it was proof positive that it's the love between couples and the vows they make to each other that are important, no matter how many people are there to witness them in person. This is what they had to say about the ceremony:
Glynis was the celebrant for our “Double Covid wedding” on December 23rd and we were blown away by what an incredibly beautiful ceremony she did for us. Our ceremony was completely tailored to us, telling our individual love stories in such a beautifully romantic way. Thank you Glynis, for being a huge part of our magical day.
